Transforming Information Security from A Cost Centre to A Centre Of Excellence
Sysprove Consulting in partnership with David Lynas Consulting (DLC) and the Bahrain British Business Forum (BBBF) held a CIO – CISO breakfast briefing on Information Security Architecture – Governance and the SABSA® framework. The briefing was held at the Capital Club located within the Bahrain Financial Harbour, Kingdom of Bahrain.
The briefing focused on how to transform a traditional information security function to meet the needs of the modern enterprise, and how information security governance and enterprise security architecture can lead the transformation of information security to deliver demonstrable value to businesses.
The attendees were also introduced to the SABSA framework which is the leading framework focusing on information security architecture to meet a wide variety of enterprise needs including Risk Management, Information Assurance, Governance, and Continuity Management.
The keynote speaker was John Czaplewski, a SABSA Trainer and Director at DLC. John has extensive experience with global organisations on Enterprise Security Architecture, Enterprise Risk Management, Cybersecurity and Risk Management Frameworks, Cyber Security for critical national infrastructure, security solution architecture & design, and Cloud Security.
Attendees at the event included CIOs, CISOs and senior information security professionals from both the government and private sector organisations in the Kingdoms of Bahrain and Saudi Arabia.
